STELLA HERNANDEZ, Business Hub Director

Stella Hernandez is the Business Hub Coordinator for the Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center. Prior to joining IWC, Stella was a small business owner for 16 years here in Portland. Her other work experience includes serving as the executive director of an adult literacy nonprofit and as a management consultant for Capgemini. Stella has an undergraduate engineering degree from Princeton University and a MArch. and MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

As the child of immigrants from Greece, Stella is excited to help New Mainers find the resources they need to start and support their businesses and entrepreneurial dreams. Outside of work, Stella has studied wine for over 15 years, and recently completed a three-year diploma certification through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. She is a parent to an amazing 17-year-old and has been married to her husband, Guy, for over thirty years.
