This session focuses on key aspects of personal finance and budgeting. Whether you're looking to manage your expenses better or understand financial planning, this event has you covered. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, giving you the chance to get answers to your specific questions. Live Portuguese translation will be provided.

IWC is teaming up with the League of Women Voters Maine , the Community Organizing Alliance, and Maine Votes/Maine Voices Network to host a community discussion centered around the ways young people can get more involved in civic life and make their voices heard. Leading the group will be a panel of local civic leaders, including Portland City Councilor Pious Ali, Portland’s JDEI Director Umaru Balde, and Portland City Councilor Victoria Pelletier.

Join us for our first Small Business Start Up for New Mainers class at the Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center in downtown Portland, ME. Are you interested in starting your own business here in Portland? This two (2) hour workshop will provide an overview of Small Business Administration (SBA) programs and the basics of starting your own business. We'll cover topics on market research, legal entities, financing your small business, business plans, and more. We will also talk about the official SBA Resource Partners and how to contact them so you can continue planning your new business with free local mentors and advisors.
