Maggie Garrity, Women Lead Program and Curriculum Coordinator

Maggie grew up in a small town in Maine and split time between her Maine home and Worcester, Massachusetts. After high school, she studied English and Political Science at the University of Southern Maine. She spent several years traveling and teaching outdoor education in locations such as Montana, Wyoming, Washington, Canyonlands National Park in Utah and the U.S. Virgin Islands before returning to Maine to pursue her Masters in Education back at USM.

Maggie taught Reading, Writing, Science and Social Studies at public schools in Southern Maine to students grades 3-6 for several years. She is now excited to join the IWC team, helping to build curriculum and deliver instruction for the Women Lead program. In her free time, Maggie likes to do all things outdoors with her 2 dogs and her husband Jason.
