Brenda Peluso, Interim Executive Director

After a 20-year career with the Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP) and 5-years in philanthropy, Brenda began providing interim leadership and other services to Maine nonprofit organizations.

Brenda is honored to be able to provide interim leadership to the GPIWC as they search for their next Executive Director.  Prior to her work with GPIWC, she has served as the interim director for Maine Children’s Alliance, Foundation for Portland Public Schools, MaineShare, and Cultivating Community.  She brings her lengthy experience in systems development and nonprofit management to the role as well as her curious nature and belief that social change happens when people are in authentic relationship with each other and value what each person brings to the work.

Prior to moving to the nonprofit sector, Brenda was a high school math teacher and traveler.  She is passionate about her family, especially her two adult children, her circle of good friends, and her amazing colleagues in the nonprofit sector.  She lives in South Portland with her pug, Ozzy and cat, Willard.
