The United Soccer League One announced on Thursday that a pro soccer team is coming to Portland.
And while the first kick off won’t be until 2025, young soccer players in Maine are already excited to cheer on the team.
“A lot of my kids want to play at the next level and I think having a team nearby is gonna give them a greater opportunity,” said Brian Hoy, the South Portland boys soccer coach.
